Mrs. Edna Cormier, 82, of Foyer Thomas, St. Joseph, widow of Philias Cormier and formerly of Little Dover Road, died Sunday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a lengthy illness.

Edna LeBlanc Born in Memramcook West, she was a daughter of the late Frédéric and Rose (Belliveau) LeBlanc. She was a member of Memrameook Golden Age Club. Her husband died in 1971.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Adéodat Gaudet (Rose) of Memramcook West, Mrs. Edgar Landry (Marguerite) of Lourdes, and Mrs. Ronald Cormier (Géraldine) and Mrs. Roger LeBlanc (Lauda), both of Beiliveau Village; three sons, Léo-Paul of Fox Creek, Alfred of Charlesbourg, Que.; and Roger of Pré-d’en-Haut; three sisters, Mrs. Bella LeBlanc and Mrs. Alice Doucet, both of Waltham, Mass., and Miss Annie LeBlanc of Foyer St. Thomas; 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Willie, Clément and Sylvain, and two sisters, Lydia and Mélessée, died previously.

Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 4 at Notre Dame de L'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook.
